# Credits

Every recording in the BitMuse demo library is used under a licence that permits commercial use and modification: CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, or public domain. Nothing here carries a NonCommercial or NoDerivatives term. Each entry names the licence exactly as the source page states it, links to the licence deed, and links to the page the files were taken from, so any claim below can be checked by someone who was not involved in assembling it.

## A note on the cover art

Cover art is licensed separately from the audio, and the two do not always travel together. For 14 of the 18 releases the sleeve is itself freely licensed and is the artwork you see: it was published in the same package as the music, by the same label or artist, under the same licence. For the remaining 4, the music is free but the sleeve is not — the artist's licence covers only the recordings, or the artwork is credited to a third party with no licence of its own. For those releases no original artwork has been copied, downloaded, or shipped; the covers shown alongside them were drawn for this demo and are not the releases' real sleeves. Each entry below says which case it falls under.

The sleeve for Komiku's *The Girl with the Baseball Bat* is a photo-collage the artist built from six Creative Commons Attribution photographs on Flickr.
